To cover some of the common questions people often have, we have put together some FAQ’s.

How do I apply?

All applications are handled via our online application process. You can search for a vacancy on this website, from there you can go on to apply for any vacancy. We do not send out application forms.

Can I apply if I do not have a valid UK work permit?

No, unfortunately Jacques Vert is unable to accept applications from candidates who do not have a valid work permit or visa.

What age can I start work for Jacques Vert?

You must be 16 years old or over to work for Jacques Vert.

Can I apply for more than one job?

Yes, you can apply for a number of different roles.

How is the Jacques Vert interview process structured?

This will vary depending upon the type of role for which you have applied. Management roles will have either a one or two stage formal interview process.

Will I have to wear uniform?

We provide a generous uniform allowance to our employees in customer facing roles, as we like our employees to wear our brand. We do have a uniform policy that states if you are unable to wear our brands you need to wear other suitable alternatives.

What are the working hours?

This will depend on the role. For store-based roles and distribution roles we have a wide variety of shifts. We do ask all of our employees to be fully flexible.

How long will it take for someone to look at my application?

We always aim to look at your application within 48 hours. We may contact you with some more questions about your application, or to conduct a telephone interview. This will also be an opportunity for you to ask further questions about the role.

When/how will I hear from you?

Once you've applied, you will receive an automated email response telling you we have received your application. Once we have had a chance to have a look at your application, we will be in touch by email or phone, depending on the role you have applied for. You can also register for job alerts and set up your own job profile.

I do not have a PC at home – how do I apply?

An application can be made on any public computer, for example local library or Internet cafe. If this is not possible please contact your local Jacques Vert store for further information.

Is there any training and what will it be like?

The type of training and induction you receive will depend upon your role. There is a wide range of structured training and induction programmes for most roles. For some more specialist roles, training will also be through mentoring and guidance from other members of your team.

Is my information kept confidential?

Yes, your details will be kept securely on our system. Unsuccessful candidate details will be kept for a maximum of six months.

Will I need to prepare a presentation as part of the selection process?

The selection process for a role depends upon the skills and experience required for the role. In some cases you may be required to complete some exercises relating to the role you are applying for. In other cases, you may have an interview with your potential Manager. You’ll be fully informed about what is needed before each stage of the selection process.

Yes, all internal applicants must also apply online through our corporate website.
